Puckett's new body of work skillfully layers color and composition to create depth on a two-dimensional plane. An intersection of lines or two colors laid side by side seem to vibrate and stretch space. The eyes of his subjects extend their gazes off the canvas straight to the viewer. Their undeniable presence makes everything else appear in the periphery, grounding the room as if the source of gravity.
