I am taking the next step in the evolution of dismantled found objects. This series began by focusing on mechanical objects like pachinko machines, electric organ, etc. The series progressed to organics such as broken tree limbs and even entire trees. Now I am focusing not just on the "what" to be dismantled but also the "how" of visualization. My specific focus in this grouping within the series is handheld electronic objects and the use of a greater variety of colors in its re-imagining. These are the first drawings (in my entire body of work) to veer away from the solely black/white/blue line construction. With this series, I was thoroughly engaged by the varieties of reds, especially. Red has been a long time used ink color but was never fully satisfied with the look of these images.
