Stella Alesi currently resides in Austin, Texas. Her complete body of work explores two distinct styles of painting. There is the realistic work which consists of the botanical paintings and the vanitas series, which draw their imagery directly from nature, and in contrast, the mandala paintings, which explore a more stream of consciousness approach. All the work seeks to slow down the epic pace of daily life, give thought to the cycles and emptiness of life and connect with the more subtle energies of interconnectedness.
