I paint for the joy and the exploration it allows me. My inspiration comes from the minute worlds I wandered in as a child that are still vivid in my imagination. When I paint, I begin with the big picture then zoom in on the worlds within worlds.

As you view the paintings from afar, you might only see the "big picture," but if you move closer, secret, smaller worlds are revealed.

My sculptures are a continuation of my material research that began as a graduate student in architecture. I let the fabric, plaster and gravity dance together to create the final form.
